About the Telltale Project

TELLTALE

A groundbreaking digital storytelling project that brings to life three largely forgotten sites of Chinese migration across British Columbia, illuminating the extraordinary experiences of Chinese migrants from the 1880s-1930s.

Key sites include:

Canadian Pacific Railway Camps, 1880s

Chinese Detention Shed, 1910s

Galiano Herring Saltery, 1930s

Developed by artists and researchers Faith Moosang and April Liu, and based on over five years of archival research, Telltale reconstructs key historical sites that have vanished from the landscape.

Through immersive 3D environments, users will explore these spaces interactively, in a “choose your own adventure” story based on pivotal historical events.

We are currently in production for this exciting project!

Presented by Cinevolution Media Arts Society
